Event Description
Newcomers Orientation Welcome Aboard (NOWA)

Wednesdays, 0720-1240, Camp Foster Community Center Performing Arts Auditorium, bldg 5906

Start your tour off right! Okinawa is a wonderful duty station and great place to work and play for the entire family! Learn about the customs and culture, what to do and what NOT to do, and about your responsibilities as a member of the military community here on Okinawa. Family members aged 10-17 will also have an opportunity to tour facilities.

NOWA is required within 2 weeks or arrival for the following personnel:

*Accompanied USMC and USN (All Ranks);
*Civilian employees; 
*Family members  age 10 and up (military & civilian);
*Unaccompanied USMC and USN (E-6 and above). 

No Cost childcare is available on a limited
space-available basis. Call 645-4117 for reservations.
No Cost bus transportation is also available.
Reservations for bus transportation must be confirmed
via the Personal Services Center, Camp Foster prior to
the scheduled orientation. Call 645-8395 to reserve.
