Fund-Raising on Marine Corps Bases Japan

Marine Corps Bases Japan Order 5340.1C Marine Corps Bases Japan Order 5340.1C; in PDF governs fund-raising on Marine Corps Bases Japan.

Any person or organization desiring to conduct fund-raising activities aboard Marine Corps installations on Okinawa, Camp Fuji or MCAS Iwakuni will submit a request for permission to the appropriate Camp/Station Commander and MCCS Community Relations Support Assistant (CRSA) describing in detail the nature and scope of the proposed activity. All requests must be submitted at least 2 weeks before the event.

Useful Information:

If you are a Marine Corps Bases Japan (MCBJ) Private Organization (PO):

  • Are you currently in an "Active" status? (You cannot hold fund-raisers if you are suspended)
  • Have you had your two allotted fundraisers for the quarter? (If you have already held your quarterly fundraiser, you will have to wait until the next quarter to conduct another fundraiser.)

Note: The Camp Commander will approve car washes, dances, and bake sales. The Camp Commander will review all other requests and forward to the CRA, with either an approval or disapproval, for coordination with the Pacific Area Counsel Office (PACO).

If you are a Unit wishing to hold a fund-raiser for the Marine Corps Ball/s:

  • Units are allotted up to two fundraisers per quarter.
  • Marine Corps Units are allowed to hold fund-raisers to defray expenses connected with the non-official social portion of a Marine Corps Birthday Ball.
  • All monies raised must be deposited into unit fund account and are generally used to purchase Marine Corps Ball tickets. Requests to purchase items other than tickets will be reviewed by MCCS Legal Counsel on a case-by-case basis.
