Don Purdy

Don PurdyDon was born and raised on this beautiful island of Okinawa. Being fluently bilingual in English and Japanese, Don has been intensively involved with the entertainment business here in Okinawa and mainland Japan for the past 15 years.

During his younger years, Don gained his experience working as a radio DJ/production assistant in mainland Japan. It was his experience in mainland that led him to be one of the popular radio DJ’s in Okinawa. Don currently does things on the side like, MC for weddings in English and Japanese, MC local events, concerts, commercial narrations, TV narrations and sports events. Not to mention he was the main MC for 2 seasons in a row for the Okinawa Professional basketball team “Ryukyu Golden Kings” and is set to be MC for season 3. But his popularity or should I say “ego” has never got in his way. Don is very loyal to his company and team, is outgoing and just a lot of fun!

Now working for MCCS, Don is almost at his 9 years of service mark! Starting out as a Food Service Worker for the CDC’s, Don has finally found his “forte” with MCCS Broadcasting.

Chrissy Barnett Miller

Chrissy Barnett MillerFor those who know her best, Chrissy is a 'jack of all trades.' Miraculously, she is able to juggle being a devoted wife to her husband Kevin, a part-time student working on a 2nd Bachelors degree (this time in Business Administration), a domestic goddess, as well as a performer in many community theatre productions. A Pisces and a Snake (according to the Chinese zodiac), Chrissy has lived an interesting life of a 'military brat'- born in Madrid, Spain to an American father and a Japanese mother. She has lived in Japan, California, Maine, Massachusetts, DC, Virginia, and Maryland, before making Okinawa her home.

Chrissy thoroughly enjoys working in TV production and is now starting to get the hang of being on TV! After spending several years as a producer for Discovery Channel and Animal Planet, Chrissy thinks life on Okinawa is so much more relaxing & interesting! In her spare time, Chrissy likes to travel, take walks on the beach, perform in musical theatre productions, try as many different kinds of restaurants as possible, and just being outdoors enjoying island life.

After his time at AFN Okinawa, Fineman separated from the military and slid right into his new position at MCCS TV. After working in the field for 7 years, Fineman can’t stop his love for broadcasting!
