The FMEAP intent is to support the Public Law 99-145, DoD Authorization Act, Section 806 and is governed by MCO 1700.38 as the first congressional mandate to specifically address spouse employment issues. We support the DoD responsibilities in assisting family members as they face employment challenges due to frequent relocations and assist them in sustaining a career while their sponsor serves their country. The FMEAP provides individual assistance with resume development and review, interview coaching, and a provides a full career resource center. The FMEAP services are free and available for all active duty Service Members, military spouses, family members, DoD civilians, and retirees from all branches.
