Looking for a good reference book but don't have time to come to the library? The library now offers an online reference collection called GALE Virtual Reference Library. Topics include travel guides, healthy pregnancy books, history, social sciences and more. You have the option to download PDF files of the text to your computer or eReader, or even have the software create an MP3 audio version for you. Explore the GALE Virtual Reference Library today!

 

Contact your base library to ask for the GALE database password, you can access over 250 full text reference sources via the below link:

  1. http://library.usmc-mccs.org
  2. Select "GALE Search" at the top of the home page
  3. Scroll down to "GALE Virtual Reference Library"
  4. Enter the password.

Navy General Library Program Instructions for Users

1. Log in to N@VY Knowledge Online and click on REFERENCE tab (on the far right).  

2. On the REFERENCE page, click on link "E-Library – Audio and EBooks" (in the left hand link list)

3. On the E-Library – Audio and EBooks page, click on the link for Overdrive (upper right)

4. The Overdrive page will open in a new window.

5. Set up your Overdrive account.

6. Once your Overdrive account is set up, you can visit Overdrive Landing Page to bookmark the Overdrive site.

7. Review the help documents and FAQ's (in the right hand link list).
