Classes are held on Wednesdays from 10 a.m.-Noon and on Saturdays from 2-4 p.m.

In this class, you will build and decorate Kimekomi dolls. Kimekomi dolls date back to the first half of the 18th century and are believed to have originated in Kyoto, Japan. The art of making these dolls quickly became a favorite pastime for many Japanese craftsmen and women and the craft is still commonly practiced today. Originally, Kimekomi dolls were constructed from wood and scraps of fabric, but they are now typically formed out of clay and are decorated with beautiful kimonos.

Ages 18 and older. A maximum of five students per class.
