Join us at the Foster Framing and Fine Arts to make your very own Kokeshi Doll! Kokeshi are traditional Japanese wooden dolls, originated in the Tohoku region of northern Japan. They were crafted by woodworkers in the early 19th century as souvenirs for those visiting the region for the hot springs. You must register to attend this class, as seats are limited. Call us at 098-970-3674 or e-mail us at artsandcrafts@okinawa.usmc-mccs.org to sign up. The class is $30 per adult ages 18+ and $28 per child ages 4-17, including materials and a shellac finish applied to the doll.
