Course Details
The course will begin at the Foster Aquatic Center, rain or shine. If you do not arrive at the disclosed location on time then you will forfeit your spot in the course. In the event of thunder or lightning the pool must close for 30 minutes and the pool deck must be cleared of all personnel.  The course will be adjusted accordingly and directions will be given to the course participants at that time. Classroom portions of the course will not be affected by the weather.

Classroom portions of the course will be held in the Aquatics Operations classroom, located on the first floor of building 5677. Please provide your own transportation to and from the Foster Aquatic Center for the duration of the course. In the event that personal transportation is not an option to and from the pool and classroom, the Aquatics Operations program will provide limited seating in the facility vehicle.

Adjustments made to the course schedule due to inclement weather may affect when the course is completed, potentially adding time to the end.

During the class, you will be provided a copy of the American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Manual that must stay at the facility.  You can access a digital version of the manuals using the link provided in the registration email sent from the American Red Cross. This email also contains information regarding the prerequisite online portion that must be completed prior to the first day of the course. Please bring a copy of successful online prerequisite completion to the instructors on the first day of the course.

Refund Policy
If you would like to withdraw from the course, please contact us immediately.  The refund amount will be determined by the following policy:
• 100% refunds will be given to cancellations made prior to the registration deadline.
• 80% refunds will be given to cancellations made after the registration deadline.
