Domestic abuse can be defined as a pattern of behavior in any relationship that is used to gain or maintain power and control over an intimate partner.· What is Child Abuse?Child abuse is the physical or sexual abuse, emotional maltreatment or neglect of an unmarried person under 18 years old.· How We Can HelpThe Family Advocacy Program provides a variety of interventions and treatment services to meet the needs of individual families. FAP provides counseling, clinical case management, treatment groups, and refers families to military and civilian resources as appropriate.· Restricted / Unrestricted OptionsThere are two types of reporting options for adult victims of domestic abuse, restricted and unrestricted. Both options make available to victims the full range of advocacy, medical and counseling services.o 1. UNRESTRICTED REPORTINGVictims of intimate partner abuse who want to pursue an official investigation of an incident should use current reporting channels, e.g., chain of command, Family Advocacy Program (FAP), or law enforcement. Upon notification of a reported domestic abuse incident, victim advocacy services and FAP clinical services will be offered to the victim.o 2. RESTRICTED REPORTINGRestricted reporting allows an adult victim of intimate partner abuse to disclose the details of his or her abuse to specifically identified individuals and receive medical treatment, victim advocacy services and counseling without requiring that notice be provided to the victim’s or alleged offender’s commander or law enforcement.o Victims of intimate partner abuse who desire restricted reporting under this policy must report the abuse to one of the following specified individuals:§ a victim advocate§ a victim advocate supervisor§ FAP counseloro Additionally, a victim’s disclosure of his or her domestic abuse to persons other than those covered by this policy may result in an investigation of the allegations by law enforcement and clinical intervention from FAP.DISCLAIMER – There are some exceptions to confidentiality regarding information disclosed in a restricted report. The Family Advocacy Program is comprised of licensed
counselors that provide comprehensive assessment and treatment for individuals,
couples and families who have experienced domestic violence and/or child
maltreatment. Family Advocacy focuses on helping individuals,
families, and groups empower themselves to make positive change.
The Family Advocacy Program provides groups to include:

(VAs) are available 24 hours a day to provide ongoing support services to
victims of domestic violence and the non-offending parent in child abuse. In
some cases, victims have the option of making a restricted report of domestic
violence. Restricted reporting is not available in all situations, so please
speak to a VA prior to making a report to learn all the options available. VA's
connect victims and survivors of domestic abuse to on and off base resources
including counseling, shelters, legal, and financial services.

Married and Loving It! is a class that helps couples have more satisfying and healthier relationships. Topics include Love Languages, finances, and conflict resolution. This is a two part class that takes place on two consecutive Fridays from 1:00 pm - 4:30pm.
Couples are encouraged to participate together, but it is not required. You do not need to be married to attend.
